Putting an 8 point roll cage in my big block fox car. My question is. Is there anyplace that lists the places I should be mounting it? I don't want to get to the drag strip and hear "boy that roll cage looks pretty in there, to bad it's not bla bla bla certified." I don't want a roll cage for show, I want it mounted right the first time I put it in. I guess I am looking for any criteria out there what needs to be done such as mounting spot, plates it needs to be welded too and so on.
Thanks
Myles

I bought the NHRA Rulebook. Its cheap, and gives the guidlines.

I was going to cut, fit and tack it myself, but may farm the whole job out.

The only thing unclear to me is where to land the rear brace bars, some land them at the wheel tubs, and some go to the floor/frame, and a different locations. I am leaning to the frame near the front of the spare tire well.

If anyone else has info, please chime in.

Sheetmetal doublers and weld to the frame is always the best and will pass any tech.
It's best to weld the tubes to doublers both vertically and horizontally so you have 3 axis rigidity.
If you go to any website with pictures showing the fabrication and installation of a rollcage you'll see what I'm talking about.
