Fox Cart

Those two guys( Frieburg, and Finnegan) have done more to trash the hobby than anybody.

Stripping the car down to make a metal covered box, that by virtue of weight loss makes it faster, ( but illegal for just about anything, and equally unsafe) is about as stupid as their show is...

When intelligent people stop watching stupid sht, these two Bozo’s will be relegated to stripping parts off of salvage yard cars for their livelihoods instead of doing it for entertainment on TV.
Both of their voices legit irk me beyond belief as well as the nonsense on the show I think most if not all of it is so stupid .

The only show somewhat worth anything is enginemasters .

Also, something bothers me about seeing him wrenching in garages wearing flip flops. I guess it’s just not my thing....... and it’s just dangerous and stupid IMO.

The only mag I get now is the one from Hagerty, it is interesting enough for me to read because I dig classic cars, it is a little euro-car heavy.
I will defend roadkill and roadkill garage and hotrod garage.
I get Mustang Hub, which is pretty new and also Car & Driver, Motor Trend, and Road & Track. I used to subscribe to Automobile which was one of my favorites but the print mag got killed off in the last year or so. Mustang Hub is pretty good quality and I’ve enjoyed the two issues I’ve received so far. It’s four issues a year.

Long before I ever owned my first Stang, I remember flipping through MM&FF and being obsessed with the many different mustang variations and all the mods available for these cars.

I don’t know why anybody is worried about him ruining an 86 Mustang to make it into one of those dumb assed things.
There isn’t any sheet metal ( fiberglass in the Vette’s circumstance ) or urethane parts that remain on the hacked up bull sht after its all done anyway. In theory, he should be able to sell that stuff off.

As to why nobody does it/ has done it to a Fox Mustang ( or any uni-body platform for that matter) is:
1. There just aren’t that many flip-flop wearing Bozos left in the North America willing to completely destroy a donor car to create a thing that cannot be raced at any sanctioned track, in any sanctioned event ( including the scourge that they call bracket racing)
2. As stated, it’s a Unit Body chassis. You cannot take the top of the car off of a frame , and have an intact rolling chassis left to reinforce with a cage like you can with a Corvette.
3. Don’t be a bonehead. If you want to do this dumb assed sht, start with something that you can actually do it to instead of cutting the body off of anything else. Then spend countless hours ( or pay a chassis shop to do it) building the equivalent of a 25.5 certified chassis, at what will amount to a significant amount of money, ( because cars that run 7 second 1/4 miles aren’t cheap to build) and then trailer that turd to the track so that you can be told that you can’t play in that sand box. Then smack yourself for throwing all of that money away, sell off what you can in parts, and put that cage in your back yard on cement blocks to rust.
