Ok guys, I've got it all done. Its not the the X2C motorsports kit( i wish), but i can notice a big difference. Here's the story, I bought some parts off of my buddy who was switching to a carb setup. I got a 93' cobra intake w/70mm bbk tb, 24# inj., 76mm c&l maf w/flow tube, and an e cam. the cam is for tax time and a dss 306. Anyway....it's all on there now, but it's idle quality is poor. I can't seem to fix it. I replaced the TPS and set it. I had to use the oem IAC. I don't have an adjustable fpr. could that be the problem?
I know the computer would adjust the bandwidth of the injectors automatically to compensate for the rich (24# inj) condition. It doesn't "hunt" for an idle, it's just rough, almost like its missing, but i just put new platnum autolites in there. When i took the distributor out i made sure to mark the bottom and rotor button, and it went back the exact way it came out. I don't own a timing light though. DON'T LAUGH!! I truly do not think the timing is an issue. If I hook up the pcv valve and brake booster hoses the way they were on the oem intake, it doesn't idle right, but i can unhook the booster and it idles steady at around 1200-1300 rpm. PLEASE any info is helpful at this point. I drive it everyday normally. I can drive it, but it sounds like crap idling that high. The check engine light was on, but since i replaced the Tps it hasn't come on again. please help!!!!!!!!!
