fox k member question

i was looking at after market k members the other day and was looking at maximum motersports site
thay said that you need to convert to coil-overs before the kit would work. the coil over kit is 1600$ thats more then i whanted to pay for something i don't feel i realy need (the coil-overs). are there co.'s that can put you just in the k member and a- arms but not the coil overs?

I think you might have checked on the wrong coi-over kit. The $1600 coil over kit is for the front and rear and included cc plates, shocks, struts, and springs. That isn't necessary for doing the k-member swap. You can get a simple front coil-over kit for around $250. I've got the UPR coil over kit on my lakewood's and it does fine. There are other companies that sell k-member kits for use with the stock springs though. Check out AJE Racing, they make both styles.

Reason you need coilovers with that kit is because they do not come with spring perches for the stock springs....so there is nowhere to put them.

There are other k-member kits out there that do have add-on spring perches or allow you to use stock a-arms so you can keep the coil springs.

MM is $$$....but it's the best i think
