Hi, I'm new to the tuning world and installed the megasquirt gen 2 ECU in my 88 Foxbody GT. I have downloaded and applied the "1986 - 1993 Foxbody Mustang 5.0 base map" from the megasquirtPNP Gen 2 website and have the car started and idling. I know that this base map is just a start up tune, but I'm about to autotune and am wondering how safe is the base maps current timing table? Can I drive the car and autotune safely without having to change much on the timing side? I'm not looking to tune my car perfectly because I'll eventually take it to a dyno whenever I find someone. I just want to be able to cruise around for now autotuning, no hard throttle.
Thanks

Thank you for your reply. I changed the numbers across 100kpa row to 29*. To blend it down, can I highlight the 100kpa to 80kpa area, 2500rpm to redline as shown and use the “smoothing cells” as a easier way to do it ? Not sure whether to up the timing or lower timing to blend.

Thanks.
