Im looking at getting some weld wheels but wanted to know what the best size to go with would be? Im thinking of going with the 5" wide fronts but didn't know if that would be a good idea driving it daily.

I plan on using a 7/16 front spacer. Should i get a 7" wide just in case. I spent the last half hour searching for posts about this and found mainly people talking about using them at the track with the 3.5's.

actually i would emagine they would be cheaper then my 315/35/17 Nitto's because they are a 15" wheel.

Mine made it this year, but would need replaced sometime next year. Switching from a 185 dollar tire to about a 100 dollar tire due to being 15's.

Is this the look your going for? If so get ahold of Oink.

One of these days I too am going with some ProStars.

I don't want the pizza cutter look but I do want a noticable difference between the front & back.

Like you I've thought about a 5" in the front.

Look at Jay95GT on the corral. He has a lot of ProStar info on his site.

Vibrant,Awesome car!!Thats the exact wheel combo I'm trying to accomplish.I have 15x10 for the rear and 15x3.5 for fronts.Do you have 3.5's on front?I'm thinking I should have went wider on the fronts as I am using this combo on the street.Any advise?

I've got 15x10's w/ 6.5"bs.The tires on the rims right now are 295-50's. I'm doing winter mods right now and the car is up on jackstands.I put the wheels on the back and there are no clearance issues other than I will have to move the tailpipes in a little and maybe flip the quad shocks.(my car is also a cobra) I actually bolted these wheels on the back of my 02 gt and drove around with them with absolutely no problems.I am up in the air w/what I'm going to do w/the fronts.I'm changing my cobra front brakes right now to a set of "04" pbr brakes so I can run 15" wheels.I trial fitted a 1/2" spacer and everything fit fine.I will have to get longer studs but I'm not sure if I like how far they sit out.If I go with a thinner or no spacer I will have to grind the caliper and bar.So I'm not sure which way to go yet.I'm even having 2nd thoughts about running 3.5" fronts or any weld for that matter on the street, but I definitely going to 15".But what other 15" wheel is good for the street that would have the correct backspacing?Anyboby using one?
