Is anyone running the Ford Racing 1.6 or 1.7 bolt down roller rockers? I'm not asking about the Cobra bolt downs.

I want to know what the pedistal mount is made of. Are they "powdered" metal like the Cobra roller rocker setup or machined steel?

I've had some reliability issues with my Cobra bolt downs. Even taking extra carefull measures to install exactly as described in the instructions, I've had more than a couple pedistals crack in my Cobra bolt down roller rocker setup.

From what I know they are the same, all built by Crane who sells them under the Energizer name.

Nuts to that! I'll do something different.

I know Crane is FRPP's supplier. Thought maybe they did somethign better for the other set. "Powdered" metal mounts blow. Comp Cams makes a conversion too. I'll see what they are and what they cost.

I'll machine and go true studs before any engine I have runs those cheap garbage "powdered " metal things again. to powdered metal.

Here's something better from Comp Cams. I've held these in my hand I think and they were machined steel. Definitly NOT cheesy. $349.95 from Summit in 1.6: or 1.7:1 ratio.
