A few pictures of my car, during engine removal.I made major progress today in removing the engine, trans, front and rear sway bars, tires and wheels, X-pipe, and all My AC components. NOW the real work starts....cleaning and preping for paint!

Engine being pulled. How nasty can one engine get?

and a few with engine removed. Note the Front sway bar is removed at this point also.

What to do with all this WIRING mess???

its gonna take a lot of elbow grease to get this bad boy ready by the Spring Break Shootout!

lol ...well, its a long story. I bought it basically in that shape. I've been wanting to clean it up for awhile now, but i knew i was gonna pull the engine to rebuild it, plus do a lot of other work to the car....I actually debated on whether to sell it or keep it 100 times....so once I decided to keep it... I then knew what needed to be done. This whole car is gonna be going thru some major changes over the next months, even during the year. The engine will probably even come out again before fall. I hope to be able to make it something a FOX brutha would be proud to have.

Pull the harness totally out of the car, should be done for painting anyways. Re-loom the harness and if you want put them in the fenders.... I find the cheap degreaser at Walmart works well, I also pressure wash all my customer cars before I Install a motor.

Here's mine right now...I'm mocking the motor back up so I can fit my intercooler tubes, then the engine bay gets resprayed and I can start assembling... YIPPIE!!!!!

Reminds me of when I did mine... Only I welded all the holes, and moved all the wires... It was a lot of work but looked good in the end.

I really want that E7 shootout to go through. I may Email MM&FF and see what they say if I bring it up. Maybe get a few people to show a big interest!

hopefully it will 25th. I am however hopeing they pospone it a month or two due to me running back to back march/april NMRA Factory Stock events. After Reynolds, I'll be pulling my engine anyway, so throwing in an E7 headed engine won't be a big deal.

the floor boards from drivers side with carpet removed....

some undercoating removed....it came out in sheets....Thank GOD!

the FRPP driveshaft rest under the car

I'll be getting more done today hopefully. I'll try to get the rest of the underhood wiring removed, and get this engine bay washed and hopefully at least start priming it.

Man, what a project! You'll have fun with it for sure.

I'm sure you're going to do it, but degreaser + new tape + new loom = like new wiring! Most the time once you get rid of the old tape & loom, you won't need degreaser anyway.

well the engine i'll be running at bradenton, and reynolds will be coming out for a build. Or I'll use one of the other 2 engines I have laying around and build one purposely for Factory Stock. better pistons etc...The next race I plan on running will be bowling green, unless I get a couple more sponsors. I'm pretty much on budget, but I don't have a lot of extra laying around to go to any more of the races this season....grass cutting will be starting up soon down here though and that might change!
