I have a 2006 4.0L automatic base mustang. It’s stock. It popped this “DTE ODO data error” on my dash. My odometer is no longer reading, but my RPM’s read fine. My “O/D off” is flashing, and my car shifts really hard.
My initial thought was maybe a fuse issue. But I’m scared it might be a bigger issue, please let me know what it could be ! Thanks!

Welcome aboard! :SN:

You have already done the cardinal forum sin and that is: Come in here with an issue but no list of ECU codes O_o

So... PULL CODES!

- and list them here. :coff:

2007 Mustang GT convertible with about 135K miles. Garage kept. Doesn't see rain.

Hello. I have the same issue, and I have been researching and checking, but still have the error.

I was driving on the highway and the car just stalled. I pulled off to the side and it restarted once. About 2 minutes later, it died again while driving and that was the end.

I am getting the dreaded error "fuel level low dte odo data error check charging system", and I seem to have power to everything else. Stereo works, drop top works, power windows, etc., but when I try to start, it does nothing, doesn't click, doesn't crank, nothing. When I turn the key, the odometer comes up with the mileage and then turns to ---------. Then, the above errors show in the display

At this point, I have had the battery checked, and it is fine, i have changed the alternator and cable set going to the battery, checked continuity on the three wire plug that goes from the alternator to the PCM, all good. I have also checked the fuses and relays and they all seem fine. I have also tried to connect a OBD II scanner, and it wont connect.

The weird thing is, I can charge the battery, and it'll start and run for about 15 seconds, and then die and repeat.

Are there ideas? Anyone else have a similar issue?
