Fuel fuel neck filler pipe

Wasn't there an issue with some after market clutch cables having too much spring on the end and needing to clip a few rings off?

I remember something about that....

Here it is!

Lilcbra hit the nail on the head above. The cable is held in place by the hole in the bell and firewall mount.

I installed a t5 and used the stock cable. I am using the rad4 bell though.

One problem I had was the spring on the cable is too long. I had to cut it down to about 1/3 the original length. Another problem I had was the headers melted the cable during initial engine break-in.

Can you get us a pic of cable at the firewall and the clutch fork/lower anchor point?

Doesn't look like it was a problem with it being a heavy pedal vs just getting it hooked up. There might be something else that I'm not remembering though....

ive decided not to use the old charcoal canister. I am going to put one of those roll over vent valve. Just come off the top of the gas tank and mount it some where in the back .as long as its higher than the gas filler neck and in a vertical position. if i do still smell fumes i would sooner it be in the back. Tank will breath.

could someone tell me does the fan blower only operate when the car is running, or can it be turned on to by turning back the ignition switch to the aux position.. Also could someone tell me what this two prong clip is for, on the back of the of the heater control. is there any pics on this site showing the wires connected to it. thanks

I can't remember which way it goes, but the driveshafts between the 4 speed cars is different than the automatics. I believe it's an inch if memory serves. Also, if you were to install a T5, I believe they need a shorter driveshaft than either of the originals. So I don't think it's anything you've done wrong or anything, just need to have the driveshaft shortened. It's been a little while since I've had it done, but it wasn't all that expensive. Judging by your pics, an inch is about all you need. (And before someone makes a joke of it, let me beat them to it..... 'That's what she said!')

If you go on Amazon and search for 'gas struts' you'll get results for all kinds of lengths and push strength etc...

The other thing to note is that most of them come with the studs already:

Now, whether the threads match the inserts in the car is a different matter. O_o

My only guess - and that's all it is - would be for the stereo. There's no connection like that for the gauge cluster and there's nothing else in that area. The yellow connector also kinda looks like it could be for vacuum connections for the HVAC controls, but it's hard to see clearly enough if it's hooked up with vacuum lines or wires. If it's wires, it's possible it's also for the stereo, dash clock, or maybe a lighted ashtray? I think your best bet would be to get the wire colors and check out one of the diagrams and see what they say.
