Today i went to the Pavillions. Kinda like a car show every Saturday night. My Damn car shuts of right in front of all the ricers!!!! Boy was i getting crap, thats a different story. Well i finally looked around to see my fuel pump fuel poped. so i put in a new one, the pump primed and about 5 seconds later it blew it again. So i put a 30 amp fuse on it. and did the same thing. Got towed home, just got home right now. Whats wrong??? Bad fuel pump? But it primes so i dont think so. Oh yeah when i first poped the hood it smelled like something was burning(wires i belive now). So im lost!!!!!

I did a search, so tomorrow, im gonna go thru the wiring form the fuel pump all the way to were ever it ends. Gonna check the MAF Connection since i did play with it not to long ago. Maybe my ccrm was were it was burning from. Dont know yet!

My first place to check is the CCRM wiring.

Do you have a CAI with the metal fender plate. I think someone just recently had a similar issue and the fender plate had cut into the FP wire (we have that big harness that goes through the fender where the CAI pipe does) and it shorted the wiring.

Good luck bud.

You will have to keep ripping the harness apart until you find where the smell was coming from. The smoke inside wiring is what makes it work - if you let the smoke out, things wont work right. :D

There's not much I can think of to tell you - that one spot was the biggie I could think of.

Good luck and bump for you.

Can the CCRM be burnt or something? last time i checked the Codes, that poped up.

ok so i looked again tru all the wiring now. I dropped the tank, followed the lines into the car, and the whole nine yards but no luck. Is there any way to se if the CCRM is any good? Would that even pop a fuse if it was bad? The only thing i didn't do was take of the protecting layer the wires have around them. If they looked cracked i just made sure the wires we ok in that spot

It would not be my first choice of an issue that occurred.

I'd unbolt the CCRM E-connector and do some continuity testing myself.

Good luck.
