Fuel sending units????

First time posting, excellent site here!!. My '89 GT vert needs a fuel sending unit and most a/m ones are going for $90... I found one for $53 at http://www.fordpartspro.com/cgi-bin/parts/index.html?cat=67&year=1989&make=FORD&model=MUSTANG my question is.. are they all about the same quality or are the more expensive ones better/last longer? Only want to do it once Thanks, Larry

Never heard of them. Not officially affiliated with Ford either. Lets, see, the Ford one lasted almost 16 years, with a 1 year warranty to boot. What sort of warranty did that one have? Is saving $37 worth dropping the tank again? Sorry, not trying to sound smart, its just sometimes you're better off going with factory so you know it goes together right and works like it should. My $.02

I understand Ford vs. aftermarket, but like the $53 one, the one for $90 is also aftermarket. If the Ford one was only $37 I would definitely go with it. I'm wondering if all aftermarket ones are equal or are some better than others. Thanks, Larry

I too am interested in this one. As soon as anyone finds or identifies a good one out there, I too will be makeing a purchase........
