Well I've checked my highway mpg many many times and I've gotten anywhere from 23-30 mpg. This past week I got a chance to check my city driving and i got a whopping 13 mpg.... :nonono: What gives? Im not driving it like a bat out of hell either. Just normal driving shifting from about 2500-3k rpms. Cats are on car, 02s are about a year old, stock heads,cam,intake....no codes. pro-m air meter, stock injectors, AFPR set at 37psi, fuel pump is a little noisy, tps is set at ~.90-.95....thats all I can think of...can anyone help?

That's not horrible, but I would expect about 15mpg is the average for 80% city driving. Ford's weakness has always been fuel economy.

What gears are you running, and what gear do you drive around in through your city driving?

You can try running lower octane gas if you're one of those that's hell bent on 93. 93 gas sends my mileage to the crapper. 89 I can't get away with anymore due to the blower. 91 seems to work perfectly. Just run the lowest octane gas you can away with without pinging.

I guess maybe that is avg. for strictly city driving not seeing more than 45mph or so. I just figured it would be more of a 7-10mpg gap instead of a 13-17 gap. The new mustangs are usually rated from like 19 to 26 or 21 to 27 or 28. I know both of these are avg.'s for city and highway but still I just thought the gap would be a little closer
