gas pedal question

hey guys the gas pedal on my car isnt where its suppost to be like up and hard instead its lower and u can easily moe ir up i was wondering if theres a reason its like that can i tight it up? or something so it can stay in place like it should? i think that this way i cant really go full throttle on the car

possible that the cable is shot or the springs on the throttle body need to be lubed

I suffer from the same problem. How hard is it to replace the cable?
