Went to start car last night and gas was shooting out of the vent stem. Good 5 to 6 inches. Thought is was a little weird. Had float stick before bu not that much gas blow out. In any case thought it was float sticking and pulled of carb and bowls and clean as a whistle working fine. No debris - no gumming etc.
Put back together and same results. Could an overzealous fuel pump going back cause this problem? Any other ideas.
Car has I think a 600 holley with 351 cleveland 4v.
