I'm going to get some gauges for my 94 soon, but I don't want them mounted on the A-pillar or in place of the clock. What I'm wondering is, has anyone installed their gauges in the 'storage' tray under the stereo? I asked for the length and width of the Autometer Gauge Cage for the fox in 5.0 Tech but got no replies. I could make a panel to put in place of the tray and install the gauges in it, anyone done this? If so, a picture would be great. OR, can the cassette deck be moved down to the package tray w/o massive rewiring of the stereo?

yes

I made one of them too but didnt use thick enough acrylic and it cracked. Needless to say its duct taped together as a temporary fix till I get my clock pod.

I stole the idea from 95snoozer.... :)

Thanks!:nice: that's exactly what I was looking for. Looks sharp too!:nice: Is that a piece of lexan/acrylic? I was thinking of using aluminum, but lexan would be alot easier to work with, plus I could cover it with whatever I wanted, I suppose.

Edit: I was studying the picture and was wondering, are the gauges recessed into the panel?

taht is not my car

you need to use acrylic to make the piece though. the guages are recessed yes.

get a compas and a dremel, or you can find some shop with a 2 inch bit for a drill press to cut the hioles out.
