Gear Drive vs. Double Roller Chain....pros and cons

there really is no good reason for a gear drive anymore, back in the 70's when they still had weak single roller chains the only way to not crash the valve train was to go to a gear drive, the advent of good quality and affordable double roller sets have pretty much made the gearsets unnecessary, too much noise, harmonics and wear debris
