I'm not quite happy with the NA 2.3L in my 93 LX hatchback, so ive decided this summer to swap in a 351 Cleveland and a C6 (small BH) transmission. I'm not going to stay EFI unless i decide to fork up the cash for a holley programmable system like my dad got for his truck.

I know the harness will need modification, better rad, etc but i have some small questions:

Will the 5.0 engine mounts work? From what i understand i actually have 5.0 mounts with a 5.0 to 2.3 adapter, so just pulling off the adapter gives me 5.0 mounts?

Should i re-route the break lines?

I'm not looking for alot of really into-it info, just a general idea what i should start looking into. I have alot of experience with engine swaps (i put a 454/700R4 in a jeep wrangler, a 13b rotary in a plymoth sundance, etc.), and since i work @ Advance i have easy access to discounted parts

Well the reason i ask is because when dropping in a 5.0 its suggested that you run the lines down the other side of the vehicle but it doesnt explain why. I assume its the same suggestion for a 351 but i figured i would ask.

We took a carb-fed 13B from an 86 non-turbo, along with the trans and set it aside. We have no electronics at all in the thing but its totally stripped interior wise, only has a rpm guage and a speedo. We had to fab motor and trans mounts which took three or four tries to get right, that was the hardest thing.

Took the shaft up to RWAY Tooling and had it custom made to match the plymouth rear as well as the mazda transmission. The radiator was taken out of the RX7 as well because it was a three-core rad.

There was alot more involved, and almost 4.5 months. When jim (the owner) gets back from florida on the 22nd ill get over to his garage and take picstures.
