ive been wearing glasses for 2 years now and im sick of em. i wanna get some contacts. always avoided it cuz i thought id never be able to get them in. not to thrilled about poking my eyeball out. lol. i hear u have to put them in in front of the doctor before u leave?! is that true? ill be setting an appointment soon, so i guess ill see. i figure after i get done i could buy them online. whats a good online store to check out contacts?

i got contacts that werent disposable the first time and they sucked nuts, they hurt everytime i had em on. now i have disposable ones that i throw out every month but i still dont like em to much. U should really ask your doctor about those hydra clear contacts they always advertise on tv. i am because they sound better than anything i've tried. I plan on getting lasic surgery once my eyes stop getting worse, get rid of the problem for good

Contacts just take some getting used to. Its been a while since I first tried them, but now I usually cant even tell they are in..

whatever you do dont sleep with them in. i did and on dryed up on my eye and i ended up scratching my cornea. not fun
thxs for the tips guys. if i can get them in id hope to get use to them, cuz i really dont wanna go back to glasses.
ive heard about that surgery, but dunno much about it. im sure its alot more then getting contacts so wouldnt be able to do that right now. but i think ill start checking it out.

it takes some getting used to when you first get them, but its worth it. only takes a couple weeks of doing it everyday before you get the feel of it.
now it takes me like 10 seconds to put both of them in. its not anything to be scared of unless your afraid to have a thin piece of something inbetween your finger and your eye

I am GRGT's wife and an optometrist. I would guess that you have some sort of keratitis from contact lens overwear. Your eyes should not hurt when you aren't wearing your contacts. You should see your doctor BEFORE a more serious complication arises.
Last year I got contacts that I sleep in and take out in the morning and now I see better than 20/20. Best thing i ever did. regular contacts dried out my eyes, sometimes they would fold up in the eye (pain in the a$$). And my eyes kept getting worse. Plus if you play any sports or run alot like I do they really dry out IMO. The ones I have are called paragon CRT, they are pretty expensive but I would ask your doctor about them, definatly the best thing i ever did.

Yeah I wear mine for a month at a time and toss them. I've always had soft lenses and they only took me an hour or two to get used to when I first got them.
got them in!! i actually did have to put them in in front of one of the chiks that work there. (lenscrafters) was way easier then i thought. i put them in once then they made me take em out and do it again. gotta get use to them, my eyes are buggin out. and i keep wanting to put my glasses on. 
i hate when they shoot ur eye with air! pretty funny to watch unless its u.
