RIVERART...its funny you bring up the turbines. ive been trying for the last 12 years to get my dad to change the wheels on his 87 gt. even offered to give him a set of drag lites i had laying around. NO DEAL! its got a carbed 408 with all the bells and whistles ....yet still sports the turbines! he loves them and i guess if were going for different , seeing a fox with its original wheels is becomming harder to come by. he even went as far as to have them re-finnished to look like they are new!

Yeah, one of the things I change first are the rims but when I purchased my project car its in such an original condition that I feel kinda bad changing things. I think I'm going to keep the turbines for nostalgia and get a set of cobra replicas or 10th anniversary for to keep my modified bug under control. I also feel bad to paint the car black from a two tone gray but that's the color I wanted from the beginning.

I'm a fan of the silver. Black looks good in some scenarios, but on yours I'm leaning to silver.

Agree with 2000xp8. I dig the black rims but they r sort of a trend.

No black wheels. Then you'd have to paint your tailpipes black. Then It'd look like it was some sort of army vehicle. A truck? yes. Mustang? no.

Ive looked through more pictures and leaning toward hyperblack, Ive thought about chrome but idk, Ive pretty much went away from the all black wheel idea.

I also think Im going to try and fit a 305/40/18 Nitto in the rear.
