Gonna be putting some new things on, tell me whatcha think?

I'm gonna be putting on a new ''cold'' air intake and I want to know if I put on a new throttle body if 70 or 75 mm would be to much for a ''mostly'' stock car (mods in sig). What kind of power will i see, and is there any down sides? Thanks guys, looking forward to see what you guys think.

Don't do a "cai". Those mac/bbk chrome pipes don't do anything, unless your after a chrome appearence?

Don't waste your money on a TB either. With the money your looking at spending, you could buy an intake manifold. Then when your ready for a tb, run whatever size matches your manifold inlet.

Man, I had my heart set on a nice BBK Cold Air Intake and 75mm TB and spacer..... but for the same price I can get a upper and lower typhoon intake....is that the way I should go? I really only wanted the air intake for looks not performance. And it's a hell of alot harder to put on a typhoon intake then TB and CAI......Ugh what to do... what to do....

Use an edelbrock performer or a tfs street heat intake. You'll gain some power with these unlike bolting a chrome air pipe or a tb on a stock intake.

You already have gears and exhaust taken care of, now its time to add mroe induction mods. Subframe connectors are a good mod as well. Have you considered nitrous? You'll need a fuel pumnp as well.

Im not into the power adder stuff... (not yet anyway) Im looking to spend around 400 - 500 bucks.

Why a new fuel pump? More air more fuel with just a new upper and lower intake? Thanks for the suggestions man =)

Hey, also I can pick up a cobra upper and lower for about 200 bucks, is that worth it?

If you can pick up a good condition cobra intake for $200, go for it. Be sure it includes all bolts/fittings. If not, use a tfs street or edelbrock performer.

I meant you'd need a fuel pump for n2o.

ya, don't get a cold air kit, it looks alright (i have one) but i wish i would spent the money else where, a new intake like suggested sounds like a better paln for sure. and with a little left over get some pullies maybe?

Twisted Wedge are a type of Trick Flow HEADS, not intake.

Your on the right road now.

If you want to modify the induction system you need to take the kink out of the hose so the rest of the system can breath first. You can either do a new intake manifold. I think the runners on the TFS series are a little large for a stock headed application. You would still pick up power, but probally loose some torque. The Cobra/GT40/Explorer would be cloerer suited. Really, I would look into a TMOSS intake. He ports the lower (the upper actually flows really well) so it matches the upper, which will be more then enough for your stock heads, plus you won't loose any bottom end. I'm going to send him my lower intake of my performer to match the TFS heads I have.
