what are some good cars to make some money on? i know where theres a black capri sitting about a mile away from my shop.. then i know where theres a GT40 motor complete.. as well as a couple different good bodys laying around and some windsors and 460's etc.. this summer im going to try and turn some cars to make money for my stang.. wondering what is the best thing to do with the capri or mustang i might pick up this summer.. 460, carb'd 302 or windsor? gimme your ideas.. hell if someone wants i'll build you the car you want for parts + labor.. just need to make some mooney

Its hard to sell pieced together cars. My friend does it, but also buys cars that need body work and paint, and he is a body man. Does it all, gets free paint and sprays them at his place. Makes good money but even he has trouble selling cars, and they look mint.

If you can, good luck, but it would suck if you end up eating what you put in.

Just about any old Mopar will bring in some cash, you just have to be willing to put some out and be able to find the right one. A guy down the street keeps scoring on some Road Runners, wish I knew where he was finding them!

Making money on cars can be difficult. Although so many do it. I have met guys that would buy cars in one market and then take them to another market to sell them where the selling price is much higher. Get a car that needs a motor, put in a motor and then sell it. I am a master tech at an independent shop, I can get things much cheaper, and fix about anything and get oppertunities all the time, but have nowhere to work on the cars. If I did, I would. The stress of selling can be difficult. Tag, insurance, things like that can be costly as well. Many places have ordinences against people running used car lots out of ther yards. I just don't see the profit margin there. Amature mechanics trying to fix up cars often leads to things not being done right. Some don't relize it, but there is a liability there.

well i do it all right, no shortcuts so thats not a worry.. and at the same time my shop is way out in the boonys where no one cares if i sell cars out of my yard.. i have plenty of room and the knowledge of how to do just about all of the things that could and most likely are wrong with the project i buy. I've been into mustangs and cars way before i bought my fox body lol hell the reason i was able to buy my 92 was because i got a 94 integra for 80 dollars.. yes.. 80 dollars.. i fixed it up, did the body work.. redid the interior and in the end had bondo and interior paint invested in it.. sold it and made 1200 bucks and bought my car.. im thinking i might try and pick up another integra or a popular import that needs work and try that deal again.. fairly older models fetch 5000 down here
