Good tire size for 18x9 Rims

Here is some info I posted in another thread.........

A tire's numbers tell you the following: Section Width/Aspect Ratio Internal Construction Rim Diameter Service Info

Example: 295/35R19
Section Width = 295mm
Aspect Ratio = 35%
Internal Construction = R for Radial
Rim Diameter = 19"

To calculate the overall height you do the following:

Height of tire = (2 x sidewall) + rim diameter

Sidewall = ( Section Width/25.4) x (Aspet Ratio/100)

Since the section width is in mm we need to convert to inches, so we divide by 25.4
The aspect ratio is a percentage so we divide by 100

We can simplify the equation as:

Sidewall = (section width x Aspect ratio) / 2540

So the height of the tire becomes [2 x ((section width x Aspect ratio) / 2540)] + rim diameter

Ex.

Height = [2 x ((295 x 35) /2540)] + 19 = 27.13
