do the same mods on it long tubes full exhaust and gears and it will move quite well. then plennum and TB

I hope to get it running tomorrow, just not running boost... I need a way to get to work, and my parents both need their cars tomorrow Running it boosted shouldnt be much longer once I get it running.

good call on going with DSS...the GT40 crate motor is just a production bottom end anyways i wish my parents would pay for a new motor for me...

The new FORD RACING 347 is a FLAT-TOP piston motor.

Ie: you cant run more than 6psi of boost, or you will have to run C16 at all times!

The plus with the DSS is that it is stuffed with very good stuff, and have seen some in my area FLY!

Now he can run up to 20psi, as long as he doesnt CRACK the block!

No reason to WORRY now!

Blow by means your rings are shot.

You lose massive compression, and oil shoots thru and poofs of blue smoke comes out your tailpipes.

IT is just a mess.Depending on severity.

all in all, blow by is NO GOOD!

well last night i told my dad all about the DSS block, and he seemed to be all right with it. he's told me that we'll proly order everything tonight. i searched summit and a ford site and could not find the gaskets, if anyone knows wherer i can get em, please give me the link, thannks

gotcha! was just making sure cuz my dad keeps telling me he wants an exact price, so this is what i think everything will cost me
$2,750 for DSS block+shipping+gaskets
L/T's $250
O/R X pipe $200
Labor $1,100
Total $4300

i would search around i found a shop near where i live that would do an engine swap for 500 bucks

Which DSS motor you going with? The low compression twisted wedge 306 or 331?

yea i'm goin around adter school to see what some shops would charge, so far that's the most expensive...but that place is suppose to be really good.
