I've got Nitto 555R 285/35ZR18's on my Y2K Cobra R's... I haven't so much as squealed the tires, because of the expense.

I'd prefer the 40 sidewall on a 17 inch rim, but I can't find one anywhere, but the 35 will be fine... Just slightly less sidewall than I like.

Hurry up & get us pics!

BTW, if you want to have any traction at all, I don't think the Sumitomo's will be up to the challenge.

haha, ok. If it's cheap, I don't care. I've got nitto's on my other rims, so I guess I'll use them for strip runs, even though the 18's are quite a bit heavier

The kuhmo's I had before had sucky traction... They felt like liquid grease.

My Khumos grip better than my old tires. But then my old tires were pretty much done.

TIRES CAME TODAY!

Got them mounted/ tape balanced.

My Dad was wanting to put black rims of some sort on his car, so I slapped them on to see how they looked. My car won't be running for a couple months still, so I had no reason to put them on.

Chillin by my 94: (315's wide enough? ) (PS: The car hasn't been washed in 4 months, and it's covered in Bondo dust... Don't let your car look like this)

Mounted on the 99 Cobra:

Deepdish... I love it:

Just hangin out: (Yes, he needs to lower his car)

Soo, overall I'd say the look on the car is similar to the deepdish Bullitts.. ... I lovem!

That Cobra is dying for a drop! It would look insane with one.

I dunno....that cobra is sweet, but I'm not even going to judge those wheels till I see them on a lowered car....I know there's a lot more appeal in those, I just can't find it on that Cobra...just my .02

perhaps it's just the angle of the picture

have anything directly from the side???

Yeah, I know how that goes. I'd slap them on my 94, except that it's a 4X4 now because it has no engine up front

Here's a side pic... It was sunny at the time, so sorry the pic didn't turn out that well.

Those will look nice on your car.

I don't know if anyone noticed .... but what's throwing it off on your dad's car (besides not being lowered) is the fender flares. They won't look "inset" like that on your car.

Hmm, you got a point. I hadn't even noticed that.

the 4X4 stance is killing me though

Good call, I knew that something wasn't right about that....if that cobra was lower, i'm sure it would be a lot more easy to enjoy, but i guess the height with the fender flares are what's not quite right
