I don't get to Florida until 10 Dec - but the car is supposed to be at the dealership on 1 Dec.

The info was mailed from ENCS - whom I bought the car thru using the overseas military purchase plan. My rep stated he got the info from Ford......

My total price for the GT w/the options I picked was $25,682. That is after the $1000 discount.

I ordered the upgraded wheel package, leather interior (comes with Shaker 500), alarm system, and exterior upgrade package.

I won't pay the final payment til 1 November - and it is guaranteed to not be more than the price I mentioned before - but "could" go down. I doubt it though.

Uh, no payments for me. Gave the $1000 to start the build. Once it is built, I'll pay it off.

BUT - If you put $1000 down with average credit, your payment on the remaining 25k would be in the 400 range.....I think.

Ok, thanks. I haven't gotten into the vehicle payment thing in a few years. BTW, what do you do that allows you to have an extra 25k lying around? I need a different job, lol.

i had a 99 cougar when they first came out and they were garbage for problems being a new build/model/style etc. Are you not afraid of the same thing with the mustang being allllll new body inside and out???? Being the first run (well within 20 days) having a car full of bugs?

Sept 27 production to Dec 1 delivery - seems too long.

What is your priority code?

Mine is 12 and I don't have a build date yet.

The reason the del date is 1 Dec is because I won't be getting back to the states until mid Dec. I was told they could deliver it in early Oct.....personnally, I'd rather not have it sit on the dealers lots for 2 months being test driven by other people! So - I asked for it to not be delivered til December. Will they follow that? Who really knows - I won't be there to check. BUT you'd better believe I'd better not get in it in December and see 124 miles on the odometer!

As for what I do to have the extra 25k laying around - it isn't laying around. I got lucky in real estate......became bill free, kids are grown, now I can do what I want with my $$.

And for BlazingSteed - I'm moving to Valrico - just outside of Tampa.

I wanted to get into the real estate market, but I just have not been able to get the $$ rolling yet. I need to find just on real good deal to get me going.

I've been on the big V for the past 2 weeks. On my answering machine when I got home today is my build date - which is the week of September 6. My dealer is upfront with me in that it will take several weeks to deliver the car, assuming that FMC does not need to spend time going over the first run. Again, FMC does not want to have a botched rollout with poorly built cars like has happened in the past.

rich8566 - you and I are getting nearly the same car. Just that I didn't opt for the red leather interior. .

Congrats on the build date....

Can't wait til people actually start getting theirs so I can read their reviews!

The interesting thing is that when I originally placed the order, I requested the Parchment Leather interior. After about 3 sleepless weeks, I went back to the dealer and had them change it on-line to the upgraded Red Leather interior.

My dealer told me that Premiums (140A) get priority over Deluxes (130A). I ordered the cloth interior - so, I will have to wait a little longer.
