Got my production date and VIN!!!!

Got my production date and VIN # in the mail today! Production date is 27 Sept 04.

I don't get to Florida until 10 Dec - but the car is supposed to be at the dealership on 1 Dec.

I can't freaking wait!!

Based on my VIN number, my car will the the 698th produced. I expect that it will be built either late Tuesday of next week, or by mid-day Wednesday!

Hey guys. New to the boards but have been reading them for a while now. I was just wondering where you get your VIN number from. I went in and built my 05 last saturday and put the deposit on it and everything. The salesman told me that they would put in the order to ford on monday bc they couldnt do it at the time. Well if someone could tell me where i could possibly find out what my VIN number is I would greatly appreciate it....

P.S. I got a black GT coupe, black leather, interior upgrade w/ the shaker 1000.....yea i need a lot of power from that audio system !

rok11, sorry to be the one to tell you, but many of us put our orders in in May and have yet to be assigned VINs. Your dealer can let you know when its got one. Call him every Thursday day and ask for your vin. As of Wednesday, I only have a partial VIN and no prod/deliv. date. You may get lucky and order the right combo and get bucked early. My dealer told me that Premiums (140A) get priority over Deluxes (130A). I ordered the cloth interior - so, I will have to wait a little longer.

I ordered a deluxe with leather, and my dealer still says "near the end of September"

so do you think that because i ordered so late that it wont come till later? i read in another thread (maybe this same one) that the more options your car has the quicker they produce.....any information would be greatly appreciated.

i think the further you live from detroit the later yours comes i saw a thread that a guy ordered one in june and he won't get it until dec but he lives in florida my build date is the week of sept 20th dealer says 2-3 weeks after that it will be in but i also live alot closer to detroit then florida

well then it doesnt help that i live in miami huh?? well my dealer told me that they are expecting it around mid october early nov. but i dont know if i can trust him. i know of the thread that you are talking about but that guy said that he wasnt getting his till dec bc he is in the military and he doesnt get back till dec or something. well hopefully ill be able to get mine sooner than later bc i cant take driving the current car that i have.
