got it on and all good. only one prob, im only getting like 3 lbs of boost out of it. is this because of the manifold, inch spacer, and 70mm tb and egr that i have????

also it came with a 3.33 inch pulley on the sc rated for 5-6 lbs of boost. what would the next size smaller be, i am thinking that if it is because i have more space in manifold which would cause less boost, if i get one size smaller i can get the 5-6lbs of boost i was looking for.

thanks,
steve

Even with those mods you should still be making at least 5-6 psi of boost with an S-Trim (I dont know how the e-cam will effect the boost though). I'd first check all of your connections, vaccuum lines, and gaskets to be sure everything is sealing properly and boost isn't leaking out. I dont mean to insult your intelligence but just make sure it is indeed an S-trim and not a Sc-Trim which will explain your lower boost readings (8-rib pulley's, bypass valve, aluminum discharge...etc).

i thought it was a s-trim but now i guess its not. its the cheapest one you can get, no bypass valve, 6 rib belt, i thought sc trim was better than s trim. i think i have it backwards now.

anyway wheres laroccas at my friend told me to go there to tune it all.

thanks

If it's the cheapest one, you have an A-trim. And boost from Vortech IS based on a stock motor. So you might be loosing some boost there. Just get a smaller pulley. :)

The SC-Trim took place of the A-Trim, it is now the base blower from VORTECH.

I agree your belt may be loose, we say an honest 5lbs of boost with a A-Trim on a stock 88 with a Cobra manifold so you should see atleast 5lbs.

To increase the boost with out changing the blower pulley which will void your warranty, put on a 7" diameter cran pulley, this will yeild another 3 lbs or so of boost.

Where is your boost gauge hooked up to?
