Got subframes welded on today, stupid ?

Get them, they are worth their weight in gold. Especially if you drag race. If you are constantly launching without the connectors, your frame will begin to warp from all the stress. Get them and you will notice a huge difference. The whole car is tighter, no more annoying rattles and creaks and bumps are a lot better now. GET THEM, oh and get the Maximum motorsports ones.

They will help your traction alot, reduce
body roll,reduce nose dives,and help
stop side to side sloppyness.SFC's are
a very important mod and will stiffen
the chassis.

:stupid:

Interesting that you bought (and installeD) a modification that you didn't know what it does...
But since you seem to go to the track a lot, so you say, this mod was a must, and will keep your chassis from twisting. I've heard lots of stories from people going to the track all the time with out them, and their doors dont line up right anymore, because of the way the chassis has twisted...

I've got a vert...I'm thinking I need some full length subframe connectors too :p

I think you should too. Very important mod. Even in daily driving situations you will notice improvement as soon as you drive it back from the shop.

Makes the car feel like a "car", and not a tin can. :nice:

I think the strut tower brace may fit. We did H/C/I to my brother's '95 GT and his strut tower brace would not clear the new intake, so I fitted to my '02 GT seemed to fit OK but I never took the time to bolt it in. I could be wrong but it is worth a try.

I got my Maximum Motorsports subframe connectors welded in today. I know this is a stupid question since I already bought the things and had them installed but what is it that they do exactly? Everyone says it is one of the most important mods. I haven't really noticed a difference now that they are in. I am primarily a drag racer. How will these help me? I know the gist that they connect your subframes and are supposed to help cut down on frame twist and body roll but I'm not sure how this will cut any time off my 1/4 mile.

You'll notice a change. Myself and a friend with virtually the same mods were .3 seconds appart and the only difference was I had the SFC's. :nice:

Hey I just got a supercharger installed today, from vortech or somebody, and I know it makes your car go faster, but how does it work? The guy it the shop called it a blower, or something, so does it blow air out the back of your car like a jet engine to make you go faster?
