Got the bug again

Hello everyone,

I've been a long time lurker, but now I'm looking to get back into the Mustang game. I sold my '02 GT back in February for a '05 Nissan Maxima. It's a nice car and all, but it's really not me.

I've gotten the urge to get a new Mustang, and I've pitted two Ford dealerships against each other to try and get a good price.

I've been offered a few hundred less than private party book value for my trade-in (about $1500 more than dealer trade-in value according to KBB) and they're offering to sell me an '07 GT premium for $200 over invoice.

Is this a deal I should jump at? What have other people negotiated?

I'd appreciate any insight you guys have.

Well, I drove to Tallahassee and picked my car up. It's really fun to drive, and I opened her up on the way back home. I decided on Redfire metallic, dark charcoal leather, and the polished aluminum 18" wheels.

The only thing that's going to take some getting used to is the speedometer. My Maxima and my '02 GT were way easier to read than this car...

Dark dint will be installed on Thursday!
