Greetings....and a question.

Hello All...

Im a former 5.0 GT owner who recently bought a '96 Cobra. I'm still learning things about the 4.6 cars. I must say, I'm really liking this DOHC motor.

Anyways, my question is: My speedo and tach BOTH are intermittently working. Usually it's one or the other but sometimes both are dead and sometimes both work fine. I am guessing these are electronic??
Also the speedo works more often and the tach usually only works after the car is warmed up.

Any ideas or suggestions?

when you are having those issure are wiper on the blink too?

No wiper or other issues.

Typically it goes like this...

When the car is cold the speedometer works fine, while the tach is dead. Once the car is warmed up the tach will begin to work and the speedo goes dead. On rare occasions, they will both be working.
