grinding front control arms for 17x9 wheel clearance?

has anyone done this?if so,is it safe?is it safe enough to still corner hard?where and what did you grind off and does anyone have pics after they done it showing area you ground off?ive got two rack limiters in each side and am sick of having to spin back of car around just to make a u-turn.slight tire rub doesent bother me,but im not going to let the wheels rub,anyone know?

ill have to look at them again,but are you talking about the rear part of the control arm that goes up and down?that looked like it was moulded part of the contol arm where wheel was rubbing.i was worried that strength would be compramised.
