I wouldn't get 1.7 RR if I were you. If you want more lift, just get a bigger cam. Although, P heads don't flow very well in larger lifts in stock form. Plus, roller rockers tend to be noisier than hell. Just keep the stock rockers and valvecovers and spend your money on something usefull.

I could not agree more when talking about oem iron heads

Get the valves to seal and some springs to contain the valve train.

Most peeps move up to a better flowing Aluminum head anyway so just wait until then and put that money in some better stud rockers at that time

Well you see that's where I started.
I bought a set of AFR 165's with an Ed Curtis custom cam.. But it never went on. When me and my ex gf split, she left me in some money troubles and I had to sell the heads.. I still have the cam

Anyway. The car is probably going into serious storage in about a year and I just wanted to give it some more grunt. Found a guy who is selling the heads cheap so I figured I'd do this just to get one more year of really fun out of it.

I'm not going to go with 1.7 rockers because I need to buy the P headers...

What cams do you guys recommend with P heads and 1.6 rockers??

Sorry to here about you never getting to use the heads

That price sounds just about right

Take the time to search for the name of Snoozer on this forum

IMHO, he has one of if not the best set of curves I've ever seen from a combo that is P head based.

I have seen and compared many Ford oem iron head pulls and Snoozer's curves really do stand out from the rest.

Yeah, I agree. Snoozer has an awesome P combo. The only reason I got the parts I have is becasue I bought everything used and wanted to stay as cheap and realiable as possible, because I knew I would be getting a turbo. Since you can break the stock block with a turbo on a stock motor, I wasn't too concerned about getting every bit of power out of my combo.

I just kept it simple and I didn't regret anything. I knocked off about 6 tenths in the quarter and added about 6 mph. Not too bad for a budget combo.

For reference, I have stock pushrods, stock rockers, stock MAF, stock injectors, stock valve covers, no chip or tune, just P heads, TF stg. 1 cam, street heat intake, Kirban fuel pressure regulator, and mac P shorty headers.
