Gt40p vs Afr Heads

are you going to be upgrading to anything else like intake or cam? Afr is a really good head. I have been doing a lot of research on heads and they are at the top as far as out of the box performance for flow and spring ratings. It would be an upgrade but it also would depend on the susporting hardware as to how much of an upgrade.... probably need a little more info with what direction you are heading and which AFR head you are looking at.

With the proper parts afr's will make 330rwhp (i've seen 334rwhp in person).
Max you are going to see with gt40p's is probably around 275rwhp, and most people see less than that.

So, ya they are worth it.

Gt40p heads Vs Afr

Wow that is a big difference. I do already Have tfs1 cam and edlebrock performer lower with pro products upper, Mac longtubes, bbk intake, Then i have a new 75mm Maf along with 75mm tb and19lb injectors ready to put on. But just dont know which direction i should go for more performance any suggestions? IM still new with Mustangs so my bad.

Keep in mind, i speak of a complete combo of parts.
Simply replacing the heads is not going to yield 330rwhp.

The setup i'm talking about consisted of:
rpmII intake, 70mm TB and spacer.
30's, 80mm maf, afr 165s, and a custom cam.
You can also get similar results with Twisted wedges.

there is a GT40 headed car with LT, H dumped combo running a N-41 cam with a Holley SM2 intake that made 318 RWHP corrected on Corral today - and it's not the only GT40 headed car to break 300RWHP. Just gotta know how to do it.......
