gt40p's

I ran my reg. gt40s (unported) with a stock ported lower (tmoss) and the tfs1 cam. untuned I ran a 13.5 @102. My 60ft was kinda crappy at like 2.2-2.3 (I avg. a 2.0). The power felt real good and felt like a 50shot at 2,500rpm.

i Have gt40p's. I used BBK shorties that i had, and they work fine. I also installed a trickflow valve spring kit, with my crane 2031.

looked on summit for the valve springs but there is .. Dual, 1.460 in. Outside Diameter; Single, 1.250 in. Outside Diameter, 1.560 in. Outside Diameter; and Dual, 1.640 in. Outside Diameter... which did you use with the crane 2031? im considering going that route even though i can get a tfss1 for 100$. also did u get just the springs or the spring/retainer kit? Thanks! :hail2:

I plan on calling jegs for those msd wires w/ 90deg. boots but What Spark Plugs will i need? Thanks! :nice:

Alssooo.. the ARP head bolts.. hex-head or 12pt head? or does it matter? which is better? THANKS again! :flag:

whell, i just looked in summit's mag and found the trickflow spring kit for stock type heads. It included the springs, retainers, shims, valve seals, etc. A very nice kit, i have had my car to redline (it showed 7,000 on the tach but thats probably off a bit)a couple of times by mistake and they never caused me any problems...and as far as the cam, i cant tell ya, ive only had this one, but i happy with it.....in NA form, my intake was what was holding me back. The explorer lower sucks.

one word of advice, if u have a set of aftermarket shorty headers and really dont want to part with them, u can reuse them as long asu buy a set of plug wires with 90 degree sprak plug boots. i bought a set from msd and have never had any problems at all with them.

When i called they said that the MSD'd that i got have adjustable boots that you can bend however u need.. will those work?

The cost would have been around $550-600 but (in great thanks to thumper) he did mine for free :hail2: .

I have only been to the track and dyno one time and I was still running into some issues. On the dyno I was floating my valves when my lifters pumped up, and then I found that I was running on 6cyl. at the track from an elec. issue. The connections have been undone some many times (about 7+now) that they needed some di-electric put on them. So far so good, after about 1,000 miles the plugs are all even in wear.

I am planning on going to Gateway Int. Raceway either this coming Tues. or the next Tues. for the T&T.
