So, a month or so ago I had you all try and guess how much the Saleen weighs with just the chrome moly cage, stock block 331 engine with Tremec TKO trans, twin disc clutch, stock type wheels/tires, gas tank with 5 gal. of fuel, a radiator and not much else. Turns out it came in at 2466 lbs. Now the car has a Dart Iron Eagle 8.2" deck 358 cid stroked and poked small block with a 4R70W trans, plus parachute mount in rear, Wolf Racecraft rear suspension, Butler Built drivers seat, dash is sitting in the car (stripped) with B&M shifter mounted and center console, Sitting in the back is the old rear suspension parts. Fuel tank is out of the car. Billet Specialties front runner wheels with Moroso 15x4" tires. And the front and rear bumper supports hae been removed. So here are some pic's to look at before guessing current weight.

So, how much does it weigh now?

I wanna know why exactly you turned a Saleen into a drag car.
And I'll just take a random guess at 2,850lbs

I turned it into a drag car because it is the best car that I have to go drag racing in..........the other cars not so much. You don't turn a 66' T-bird into a drag car, too damn heavy ect. The Fairmont is.....well, a Fairmont, just gonna give that one away to get rid of it. The 01' V-6 car is my DD and gets awesome gas mileage. Whereas the Saleen is cool, has class, and is an excellent platform to build a drag car off of. Plus all a Saleen is, is a modified Mustang. And in 1989, that was the year that Saleen had the highest production #'s for the Fox body cars having built 891 cars, with 543 of them being Hatchbacks. Now if it were a SSC Saleen, it would be bone stock. In the grand scheme of things, this one is not rare, just moderately different than a Mustang GT.
I also have all of the stock components from the car, so if I or anyone else in the future wanted to take it back to stock, they could.........with a LOT of work.

As seen in the pic's.....all of that stuff goes bye bye....some gets upgraded like the fuel system, but all that stuff is back there because I got tired of tripping over it when working on the car.

I get the love the one your with idea, but 1 of 543 makes the car pretty rare and in good shape ive seen them sell for high teens. A buddy of mine had a low mileage emerald green 92 notch I think he said they're were around 800 made he sold that for 17500. I would have went w/ a 4 cyl roller to molest.

Just my opinion I have a soft spot for that car, it was the first mustang I owned in 94 and always regretted selling it.
