Guys w/ 18"x10" Rims

the rolling of the fenders will only be required if you wanted it to be. if you run the normal wheel offset like mine there will be no rubbing. I could run a 295 if I wanted with ease. I went 285 because I wanted to run a bit more sidewall with the 40 series.

now if you want the tire to be flush with the fender and run wheel spacers or a more positive offset then you may need to roll them.
Thanks man, Im really leaning towards the 285/40s. Same price as the 295/35s. I like the idea of a slightly bigger sidewall too.

What size are you running up front? Im guessing a 265/35?

another Torch Red GT in 18", then I was like

You got any pics or links of that car? I thought I was set on 18's too....but now that I've seen the prices of some 17's with tires on MT....I may be thinking chrome 17' DD bullitts. There's a car in Modified Mustangs that's yellow with these rims and it looks sweeeet! HTF do you spell bullitts the correct way anyways?

unfortunately it belonged to a college kid who graduated this last semester, so I cant go grab any pics of it.

the correct way, ala the movie, is Bullitt(s).

Here are some pics of what Im going for, in 17", and 18". Unfortunately the 18" is a distant shot. Both look great IMO, but when I saw the 18s in person, I was  Theres always Pro-Stars and MT's for the track :nice:

Helt.. I didn't read all of this thread... but i'd call you out of your stinking mind (all in good joking fun, of course :D) if you got 295/40 or 295/45.. 40 and 45 is too tall of a sidewall for the car, imo. It'd look kinda goofy. If you notice, my 285/35 sidewall is taller than my 265/35 sidewall since the 2nd number is a % of the first number.. so it's 35% of the 285 (99.75), which would make it a little taller than 35% of 265 (92.75).. so if you want with a 295/40, then good lord it'd be tall, but it's your money and not mine.. but even if you do, I see no reason to roll the fenders  There's a moron around conway with a lowered GT with 22's on it, it's about an '03 model.

Stick with at least a 295/35.. but I might actually look at the 305/35's. You've seen how the 285/35 look on a 9" rim, so you may want to go a little bigger just in case. BFG's do run a good deal bigger, so i'd stick with them if you do decide to go with a 295

Edit: If you do decide to order tires and you order BFG's, let me know. I need to place an order for 2 front tires :D haha

thanks guys, you rock. Except tom tom.

I like the idea of the 285/40/18 BFG KDW2s since they run wider, but Im also thinking about 295/35s. I guess I'll call the local ricer shop and see if they roll fenders.

fluff-dogg, the rims are my next buy, just for you, I promise ;)

about time your like a son i never had.....:D :D :D :D :D :D

and if your gonna be a bear be a grizzley..!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

helty i wouldnt suggest the 285/40s because they looked way too tall for me and they looked kinda goofy and made the wheel look small.

im not sure if you can see a big difference in the pics but when you see it in person its huge. I almost sold my saleens because of this but when i got the correct size tire i love them and wouldnt have any other rim on my car.:nice:
