Now, my heads were worked over a bit but that stock worn out badly smoking short block didn't seem to mind.

Well, I never did it so I can't say for sure. Put the thing together, upper inatke and all, and te=hen try putting the inlet tube one. If it doesn't clear, start bending it towards the center of the car. As for the EGR, I think it hits on the attachment point on the elbow itself. Hope that helps...

I didn't have to bend the oil fill neck on my Fox VC's. It helps that I have an aftermarket oil cap that has a smaller outside diameter than the stock one (yes, it is *that* close). I did have to grind some from the EGR -- about an eight of an inch. But I'm also running 1/4" thick cork VC gaskets. I wouldn't have had to grind it at all if I were using normal gaskets.
