I've heard that the X-pipe produces more of a raspy sound and the H-pipe produces more of the low grumble.

Is this true?

I'm looking for the low grumble...what are some good brands that would give me this sound?

do search.
But simple answer is Get H. Or rather, Prochamber.

I had all, and X was waste of my money.
possible few more hp was no way worth the nasty sound

Yes, X pipes are raspier and H pipes are more grumblier. But I also second the Prochamber option, I've had it on for years and it's great. And like the others have said, there are prolly thousands of threads with this same subject, do a search.

I recently installed PYPES stainless steel Xpipe midsection. I have stock mufflers
on a convertible. The sound is not too loud but very much noticable. Car sounds
Healthy without being anoying.

You would love the prochamber.
Ive seen some H-pipes produce more power than X-pipes. But you get the best of both worlds with the prochamber. Go on youtube or something and check them out.

x-pipes sound like performance cars, h-pies sound like UPS trucks...

but that's just my opinion, worth no more or no less than anybody else's...

I read somewhere that you had to have mac LT's in order to use the prochamber, is that correct or can i use bbk Lt's with it?

You don't have to have LT to have PC. They have PC for stock manihold.

They also have PC for Mac LT.
Now, anything is possible if you have money. I was told that PC does not match up to BBK LT frange. But nothing competent muffler cant fix.

I did not want to deal with exhaust leak. SO i didn't bother with trying to match PC up to my BBK LT, eventho I love PC
