Ha ha ha....man..I love the torque of a V8.

I too have experienced both worlds.. I owned an 03 STi for about 6 months, and all in all: Ill stick with my torque producing Stang, as unoriginal as that may be:D ..and I think the "Cant out run ugly" quote basically summed it up quite well!

I had a 600 hp 03 wrx that i finally sold last summer. I went all out and built a 2.5 and ditched the 2.0, went with a GT35R. I wanted to make a 10 second car. I already had swapped the 6 spd when the 5 spd went. I didnt have the car from feb-oct which blew ass. Car made 500awhp on medium boost, maxing out the fuel with 820cc injectors. It was 550-600awhp easy on the right boost. I took it out three times last spring and it broke on me. So I was done with that car. Glad to get back into a mustang again, its all ive ever known. That was my first attempt at a import. It was my daily driver when i had my built 94 Gt, then i sold the gt and only had the subaru and everything took off from there. Wrx ran mid 12s all day on stock motor with lil bigger bolt on turbo. Shoulda probaly stopped there... Wrx/sti's are great when running, but parts are $$$ so if anything goes wrong your screwd. Plus lot of the performance parts are new so its really really expensive. The stock wrx motor is weak, u can only push about 350awhp before itll go, tires suck stock, brakes suck stock, suspension sucks stock, and the 5 spds go like crazy. So its a car ur stuck upgrading basically everything the way it should have come stock which gets pricey quick. Its easy to make quick bout 2 grand in mods and your in the 12s mid to high, then from there it gets expensive fast...
