Guys, has anyone heard of him? I bought a Performer RPM intake off of him in the classifieds. He seemed like a cool guy and all, but I havent recieved my intake yet. I know how holdups can happen, but he just lives in FL and I live in VA. So how long could it take to get here? He said he shipped it out last Tuesday, and he said he would give me a tracking number but he never sent me another email??? I sent him one but no reply? Anyone ever heard of the guy? I know it seems I worry to much but damn, money isnt free. Just wondering.

But I have his name, address, cellphone number, home number, and I sent a banker's check, so I'm not worried about losing my money. After he has your money he has no more than 7 business days to ship you the package. 7 days is pretty standard. Anything longer than that and I would start to worry.

If you pay with a postal money order, and send it certified mail, he has to sign that he recieved it, then sign again when he gets the money from the post office. If he does not deliver the goods, he has just comitted mail fraud. That's a federal offense. There isn't any place in the U.S. where he can hide from the FBI.

This works very well for something like Ebay. There is a record of an auction, so you have a contract for the sale essentially. The classifieds might be another story, he could say the money was for services rendered, or something like that.

Bottom line, it's cheap insurance.

FYI: Oakland Park comes up with 2 places in Florida, one in Central Florida in Lake county, and another one in South Florida in Broward County. A phone number in Lake county will be 352-xxx-xxxx. I don't know for sure about Broward county, but I suspect it would be 305-xxx-xxxx

Thanks I will keep all of this info for safe keepings. He edited the classified of where he had the items listed to "Sold" so I cant take a screenshot and save of it either. Hmm, I got his address and name and the emails about it. Hopefully that will be good enough. I am sure he will come through, becuase I know how things get in your way of doing stuff. But an email would be nice.

**** that! I buy/sell quite a bit in the classifieds....more selling tho, and i ship same day i recieve the $$. I expect the same when i buy too. No later than 1 day if you ask me. If they have the time to accept my cash...they have the time to ship it out.
