Have a few questions

[65 A Code]

I am getting ready to start welding in my new fender aprons on my 65.

1st question is, I have to weld the headlight Support brackets onto the aprons. Need to know how far from the front of the apron do they need to be? My old fender aprons are too bent up to get an accurate measurement.

2nd question, how hard and how involved is it to remove the steering column?
