Well, after changing my 02 sensors about a month ago, I was rewarded with a much faster car! I also discovered with this new found power I could chirp 3rd gear. Lots of fun and all, but recently I tried to do it again and this time it grinded slightly into 3rd.
To make sure it wasn't clutch related I tried it a couple more times and the same thing happens, only when I power/speed shift it into third. If I shift normally, even under acceleration it's fine. My clutch is adjusted fine with an aftermarket setup. Does this mean my 3rd synchro is going bad? If so, are tremecs easy to rebuild or do I need to send it out. Who rebuilds them and how much?
