Guy the car is a '93 lx pretty much all stock right now. This time I am setting a goal and want to follow through so I stop building my car and changing my mind as I go. That being said,

I want to know if the trick flow twisted wedge heads would be a better choice for me due to the fact that they can be ported at a latter date. The heads I was going to get were the AFR 165's. They have to emmisions legal, thats the way I decided to go.

My goal is to put down 450-500 to the wheels with a s trim. I will prob have to do the lower end before getting the boost I need for my goal HP. But that is the goal I want to achieve.

I want to start on my spring project so please give me your opinions. The only other thing I should mention is the cobra intake, ported lower and an emmisions legal cam I am still doing research on now.

The 165's could be ported down the road, too. The biggest difference is that the TFS have larger valves, so there's probably a bit more flow potential without having to install larger valves. With either one of those heads + an S trim, you'd meet your HP goal with the untouched heads. One of the 94-95 guys put down 477 (IIRC) at the wheels on a conservative tune with box stock TFS heads, stage 1 cam, and Street Heat intake.
