i was just wondering if the 351 w heads are a direct bolt up to the 5.0 block. I am considering doing this because i dont have the money for a set of nice heads and i happen to have a set of windsor heads and a block sitting around.any help is appreciated.

I would like to know as well. I searched these forums for this topic but only found this thread.

Head bolt size differences?
Will the stock EFI intake match up?
Will the coolant galleries match up as well?

Any other issues?

Already know about the stock flow deficiencies on these but they are done up with larger valves.

Also considering a mild cam, thinking about a B303. The stock block is an '89, anything wrong with using this cam? Any better ideas? Just doing a cheap mild bolt-on build, FYI.

Thanks!

gotta to be 69-70 351w heads will have a casting # thats c9 or d0 u will need to have some bushings for the headbolts! try and to find a set of 5.0 explorer heads they are direct bolt on dont even need the bushings and they out flow the 351 heads

I thought it was up to 74 can be used?

I know the Explorer thing, got em in my car, the questions I asked are for a friend who already has Windors heads ready to go.

So bushings for the head bolt holes, good.

What about the ports etc..?

Thanks again!
