Mac equal length shorties + mac catback. Dont have the tools, garage, or time to do it myself... so what should I expect this to cost me? Also... the regular bolts that came with the headers had one longer bolt, but the locking bolts that I purchased do not. Could that end up being a problem if I dont use the longer bolt?

I think I have a problem here.

My locking ones are all the same size and fine.

A shop may quote anywhere between 3-6 hours for a header install, I've heard instances of that full range at different places. They may also quote 2 hours for a catback, although it shouldn't even take an hour for someone with a lift and the right tools. But shops can say it takes as long as they want, ya know?

Anyway, figure that and multiply by whatever the going rate is in your area, 40-80 per hour, and there's an idea.

Or just call up shops in your area and get a direct quote

All you really need is like a Meineke shop or any other muffler shop. Go someplace that guarantees their work (meaning don't take it to Bob's Muffler and delicatessen). Get an estimate.

I say go ahead and give it a shot at home, you don't need a garage, the only tools you need is a socket set (extensions help but not required) spray some pb blaster on the header bolts the night before and they will come right out. The headers drop right in and bolt directly to your factory h-pipe as do catbacks. Even if you've never done it before it'll still take less thatn a day.

Why, what's wrong w/your H-pipe? For the cost of that you could very well get a used (or even new) H-pipe and just replace the whole system

The hardest part of the job is ****ing with the header bolts and EGR tube fittings, and lining up the H-pipe.

Nothing wrong with the H-pipe. I bought the catback used and it didnt have the flow pipes that connect my H pipe to the mufflers... the price was right though
