Headliner Replacement Offerings?

Once I solve my current conversion fiasco, I'm planning on replacing the falling titanium vinyl headliner/board with something NON falling and NON vinyl.
Anyone know of anything decent that is matte black? non cloth? Don't want to have to replace it again.
Alternatives?

Is the board fine?

I just grabbed some fabric from local crafts store for $10, and some 3M spray adhesive from Home Depot, and attached the new fabric to the backing board. Then I trimmed it as I installed it in the car.

Sunroof/ttop cars are usually vinyl, and blank roof cars have the fuzzy stuff. I put a matt black soft fabric in my sunroof car

^This. I have a sunroof car as well, it had black headliner fabric. I replaced it with black fabric.

I helped a friend do his '84 Caddilac a while back. We just went to Hobby Lobby and got the fabric we wanted. We used the 3M spray adhesive. Don't cheap out on the adhesive. Id say thats the stuff you really need to be looking into.

I can't remember if it was the super 77 or super 90 3m adhesive.

Can is in garage so I'll check in a bit. But it's held for 10 years
