I've posted similar issues before, but now an update question. I'm having "issues" with the two hoses to the heater box. I've loosened the clamps but the the hoses are locked onto the heater. Short of cutting them off, how can I get them off? I need to remove the hoses to get at the bolts holding the heater box to the firewall.

Any thoughts? Would a heat gun work to loosen them up? (Provided I had a heat gun.) I've got to imagine that there is a easier way to get them off. Thanks.

I recently removed my heater box and had to go at the hoses with vice grips to "break the seal" then strong pulling and a flathead screwdriver to coax the hose off. I wasn't really to worried about damage to the hoses or the core as I am replacing both so that made life easier...

Hope this post from Captain Obvious helps...
