Does anyone know if anyone reproduces or if original foam seals are available for the heater vent doors/flappers, for my 78 II. i have the heater assembly apart to relace my heater motor and core, and would like to replace these as well. they deteriorating and are turning to dust. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Mike.

You mean that blackish grayish low density foam?

I think your best bet would be to check out whats available at your local home improvement stores and a razor knife.

I just went through that on my 75. I found the material I needed at the auto parts store. I think it was Knechts or Car Quest. I had to do some looking and then had to cut it to size. Clean the old stuff off with a good solvent or the new won't stay stuck.

If the stuff doesn't come with a sticky side, use a light coat of contact cement.
Too much will eat the foam.
