so just a matter of pulling the grill and you are in. No messing with the bumper or anything. (sorry if I sound stupid but I don't own a classic I just like them a lot).
Thanks man I'd appreciate that. Yeah, I ended up bolting together a fabbed up bracket, but instead of behind the grill I cutout where the license plate goes and had them there... Too Elenor-ish, espcially when I get the new fiberglass front end from Cobra Automotive...
Probably too "Eleanorish" (or "69-ish") for you, but here is what I'm doing. I cut rings and bonded to the grill to expose the lights. I've made a panel over the top of the grill to conceal these lights (shown in the 2nd pic), hood pin mounts, condensor/fan, etc. You can also see my metal Eleanor scoop I had to fabricate to clear the carb inlet from the supercharger, my Cosworth hood vent cut outs and the start of my mod's to the lower nose piece.
I plan to either lower the radiator down in frame and/or fab a small panel up and over the radiator to clean it up and use as a mounting bracket.
